1930s Khaki Twill Shorts
Made from beautifully soft khaki twill; these shorts are a close replica of an original pair of 1930s Army shorts. Very wide in the leg, a wide waistband, double pleats and buttoned belt loops. All features of the original. Shorts were part of the hot climate uniform for all commonwealth forces during the Second World War. The British Army had a choice of material to use for uniforms, essentially cotton and wool. The thick cotton shorts were designed to be "soldier proof", but also allow the free movement of air in hot climates. Team our shorts with the ecru linen shirt for that Ralph Fiennes English Patient look. These shorts are made in England.
