Pristine 1910s E. Pinteaux & Cie Leather Suitcase

£625.00

Pristine 1910s Pinteaux  & Cie Leather Suitcase

A stunning example of a leather suitcase, made by Emile Pinteaux of 52 rue Turbigo Paris. The House of Pinteaux was a French luxury luggage and trunk maker selling from their store in Paris.

This suitcase is in very good condition for its age. The leather has been fed and is in a nice supple condition, there are no rips or tears and the stitching is all intact and strong. The original lining is made from padded blue velvet, the document holders are in blue Moroccan leather and is in very good order. The case is initial free. Both the locks are stamped with the E. Pinteaux & Cie name, and the address of the store. The handle is strong and attached via 2 brass rivets.

This case is a nice useable size! Measuring 59cm x 38cm x 16cm. For someone who appreciates French luxury style from the beginning of the last century.

They don't make cases like this anymore and if they did the price would be unaffordable to most. If you own a Pre-war classic or just love the style of the 1910/20/30s then this one is for you.
