THE "GENE" RIBBED CARDIGAN IN COCO BROWN

Sale price£195.00
Size:

A 1930s raised ribbed cardigan made popular on the golf course by legendary golfer Gene Sarazen. Made from 100% Coco brown Italian Merino wool. Made in England. The original pattern dates back to the 1930s, and has a raised ribbed stitch, which gives it a lovely style cue from that period. It has been finished with some beautiful Courtney and Co Corozo buttons.

Whether dressed up with a shirt and tie or dressed down with a pair of jeans, this cardigan works. We have styled it with our Orson Tweed plus 6s, which when paired with a shirt and tie, allows you to step back in time.

In our pursuit of an authentic 1930s inspired piece of knitwear, we embarked on an extensive search to find a knitwear maker capable of delivering the precision and craftsmanship required to meet our high standards. After exploring various options, we ultimately partnered with a distinguished knitwear manufacturer in Leicester, England, and have been working in partnership with them for the last 3 years. Their commitment to excellence and attention to detail ensures that every piece of knitwear is produced to the highest standard, blending traditional techniques with modern precision. The result is a cardigan that not only captures the essence of the 1930s style but also embodies unparalleled craftmanship, making it a truly outstanding piece.
