1900s LARGE GEORGE PARKER & SONS LEATHER TRUNK

£495.00

A beautifully relined large leather trunk made by George Parker & Sons London. Established in 1851 and operating out of 17-19 Upper St Martin's Lane WC2.  Manufacturers of high class saddlery, harness, leather bags and trunk.  "Colonial outfits a speciality".

This trunk has been relined in a cream gaberdine and is ready for use as a storage solution or interior design piece. There is extensive brass stud work to the lid of this trunk. The lid is also stamped with the former owners initials M.C.A

The makers mark is found on the front of the trunk. There are 2 leather handles, 1 at each end, held in place with more brass work. The central lock is made of brass and covered by a leather flap to preserve the lock.

Useable trunks like this are fairly rare, and this one has such a beautiful patina to it. The next owner will be able to fill it with a lot of kit as it is rather large!  Measuring in at 91cm x 57cm x 33cm.
