Established in 1811, Joseph Braddell and Son were manufacturers of Breech loading Shot Guns, Rifles & Pistols. Operating out of their store next to the Ulster Club in Belfast. At one point this company had a Royal warrant. This leather and oak cartridge case, as you would expect being makers to the Royal Family, is of high quality. The leather is in good condition considering its age. The brass work is heavy and has a lovely patina to it, as is the oak. All the stitching is sturdy and correct. There is a faint set of intials embossed on the lid and on the underneath. The handle is in good strong condition.
A beautiful peice that is usable as a cartridge case or as a precious leather covered oak box.
